Jennifer Aniston ‘Disappointed’ With Reaction to New Movie

The actress, 40, is said to be “disappointed” by the lackluster performance of her movie Love Happens so is apparently looking to take on roles that’ll challenge her as an actress.

And the best part? She might even cut her hair!!

“Jen is disappointed at the reaction to Love Happens and accepts she may be the problem,” says a source close to the star. “She wants to carry on producing romantic comedies but as an actress she is seeking out roles where she can really change people’s perceptions of her. She may even cut her hair!”

Maybe a break’s in order?

Aniston recently revealed that she was planning to take some time off from Hollywood.

“I’m going to go on an adventure, take myself somewhere,” the former Friends star told Fox News in September.

“I won’t start another job until at least January. I want to take time off. I’m going to throw myself into [my production company] Echo and just keep plugging away.”

    I’m sure she is disappointed with 2 bombs in a row. Will she go ugly for oscar? Don’t think they had hairdressers in texas prisons, or will she just go the wig route, like in mgmt. trying to duplicate witherspoons success as june carter, or zellweggers success in chicago. at least it will be different.

    Management was a small indie film that only opened at 212 screens, it was never meant to beat films that opened at over 1000. Love happens made back cost expenses in the states so it didn’t BOMB, bombing is not making back cost expenses. Jen should do what she does well. All the “serious” actors are doing comedies so why should stop doing what she does well

    Let’s hope she does radically reinvent herself soon. Her look is still glamorous but dated by todays standards and doesn’t work for her now that she’s pressing 40′s. Hey, 2009 was supposed to be the year of change Jennifer! Long long overly layered and razor cut hair with barely there ends is so passe’. It’s high time that Jennifer stops perpetuating the myth that only ladies with long hair are sexually appealing.

    “Love Happens” didn’t recover its cost. The budget is $18-22 million dollars depending on who you believe. The theaters get 55% of the gross receipts for the fist 3-4 weeks and the ad campaign was massive — at least $25-30 million dollars. the film has made $26,417,737. It needs to bring in another $33 million at least to break even and recover its costs — at least!
