Meryl Streep is set to be a mother-in-law — her daughter, Mamie Gummer, is engaged!

Gummer, 25, revealed Monday that her boyfriend, stage actor Ben Walker, got down on one knee to propose.

“He proposed two days ago,” Gummer said. “He did it on one knee!”

Mamie — whose dad is sculptor Don Gummer — says her family is ecstatic at the news. “They’re all very happy … we’re very, very smiley,” she dished.

“My mom loves him!”

Gummer and Walker — who began dating a year and a half ago — met working on a short film, and later performed together in a spring 2008 Broadway production of Les Liasions Dangereuses.

“He was the Keanu to my Uma,” Gummer said. “We were kind of pals first. It was a drawn-out thing.”

So what does Mamie see in her future husband? “We’ll, look how tall he is,” she said. “He’s very nice. He puts up with me. And he’s very patient.”

“He’s really good at rubbing my jaw,” she added. “I carry a lot of tension in my jaw.”
