Who estasbished the rule that public figures should be good examples. If they are ministers or moralist speakers, maybe so. But we are talking about comedians, singers, etc. . When they finish their jobs and leave the stage then they are just plain old flesh and blood like you and me. Same needs and same temptations. Only they got more money and some better looks so they have greater opportunities to do what they want to. Men entertainers are swarmed by women who will do anything they ask them to do. Put yourself in their place and serioulsy ask yourself “What would I do?”. The main difference between the good ole faithful husband and Letterman, Woods, etc. is opportunity. And don’t mention some name who has never been caught in some indiscretion. What do you really know about their private behavior. Some are just better at the game then the boobs that get caught or some slimey woman who gets thrown out by a married celebrity and gets not only her revenge but finds a crooked lawyer or the ambulance chaser finds her and then they go after the money. Many of these women are sitting this thing up from the very start of the relationship. Now we been talking about men, but it works the other way also. What lesson can you learn from this? Try to teach your children not to put these ego maniacs and narcisistic people who seek the lime light and yearn for your applause and admiration on pedistals and see them as heroes and role models. Let’s say you are a teacher. How would you feel if after a lecture your students stood up and gave you thunderous applause while chanting your name. And if you were a college professor with girls over 18 throwing the keys to their rooms with their under garments and telephone numbers. After awhile I bet you would feel very important and entitled. I have had this conversation on many occassions with men just like you and me. Most who are honest will agree. They would probably sleep with quite a few of them. And inevitably rub sticks and stones together and the fire breaks out into a real romance and long term affairs. Most of the real smart men and those who know how to judge women’s chacacter never get caught and stay with their wives and have happy lives. The real moralistic ones soon turn to the bottle or pills. And wives of this world……….YES the husband still loves his wife. He wants it both ways. Now I in my practice as a clinical psychologist have seen women do the same darn thing. What they can’t get from their husband they get from other men. I learned early not to be to judgemental of other people. EVERY SITUATION IS MUCH MORE COMPLEX THEN IT MAY SEEM.

It’s a shame that admired public figures who are supposed to set a good example for others to follow end up being the worst repeat offenders. What a way to loose a good name & ruin your public image. It was nice (so I use to think) knowing you Mr Letterman.
