Hilary Swank Hits The Red Carpet For Movie Premiere
HILARY Swank, wearing a blue sleeveless dress, hit the red carpet Tuesday night for the New York premiere of her new movie Amelia.
Amelia – a dramatized biographical film based on the life of aviation pioneer and author Amelia Earhart, starring Swank as Earhart along with a cast that includes Richard Gere, Ewan McGregor, and Virginia Madsen — hits theaters October 23.
Swank, 35, recently revealed that she had taken flying lessons in preparation for the role.
“I am studying for my pilot’s license,” she said. “I don’t sweat a lot, but when I fly, my whole back is drenched. The concentration, the focus. It is so wonderful.
“I just picked up my boyfriend in Las Vegas! He had a business meeting there, and I flew with my instructor and picked him up.”
The star – who is currently dating her former agent, John Campisi — has also revealed that she’d quite like to start a family with her beau one day and enjoys spending time with John’s son Sam, from a previous relationship.
“Sam’s a sweetheart,” said Swank.
“I most definitely want children. It’s something I’d like to do someday. And when the timing is right I’ll hopefully know it.”
