Obviously, I didn't know you and Patrick personally, so I wouldn't attempt to make light of the way you must be feeling. Especially, after being so lucky to have had such a special relationship with someone like Patrick during your life and then having to let go of it. I can't imagine how difficult that must be for you. What I do know, is that that God has a reason for everything he does and there just may be something he needs for you to do for him where otherwise, you may not have had the inspiration to achieve it. No one dies without a purpose, and no one lives without a cause. My condolences to you and your family. Lisa! I saw you on Oprah's show today. You are a very strong, beautiful, confident woman. Stay that way. Be a wonderful example for all of us women who are mourning the loss of a loved one. My beloved Mom died July 16, 2009, and I think of her every day. Michael Boulton sings a song with the following lyric, "I see her face in every flower." Mom's spirit will always be with me, just as your beloved husband's spirit will always be with you. My special grandmother, Mama Adela, once said, "Daughter, the soul never wrinkles." I wish to add that Patrick's soul will always be with you. I shall also be taking my Mom's ashes to New Mexico; to be placed between her parents, in a cemetary that now holds five generations of our family. To me there are areas in New Mexico that are very spiritual. When I'm there I can feel myself merge into the earth and I feel re-born. You and Patrick have chosen the right place for his ashes. I wonder if Patrick had any American Indian heritage. My grandmother was half Apache. She was very spiritual, kind and generous all of her life. We, at my house, all loved Patrick and are very sad with his passing.Losing a loved one is never easy to deal with. I lost a brother in Viet Nam in 1967 and I stll miss and grieve for him.Only time will lessen the blow. I feel and hurt for her.We miss him to God bless and comfort Lisa in her in her time of grief.
