Michael Bublé Dishes on Susan Boyle

Posted by Adam

Michael BubléCROONER Michael Bublé says Scottish singer Susan Boyle‘s sudden rise to superstardom is a “beautiful, beautiful story.”

The Home hitmaker admits it took him a while to understand the massive fuss that surrounded the Britain’s Got Talent star, but insists he has warmed to Susan — and has vowed to buy 20 copies of her debut album.

“I was cynical and critical because I had never seen her in that first show where she comes up and says, ‘I want to be a singer’ and the audience looks at her and says, ‘Oh please!’ I got goosebumps,” Bublé said.

“I’m going to go when this record comes out and buy 20 copies… because what a beautiful story of an underdog.

”It gives me faith in the human condition that we still have that kind of feeling that we actually want the good guy to win.

“It killed me. It really is a beautiful, beautiful story.”

this story confirms michael buble’ is an idiot! who in their right mind would go buy twenty copies of anything. I’m sure susan is so relieved that this nutbag has warmed to her talent. Michael Buble’ couldn’t carry Sinatra, Tony Bennett or Bobby Darin’s luggage!

Can Joe make a comment without calling someone names?

The way to support a singer is to buy their CDs. That’s how the artists and songwriters make their money. You can flatter and praise someone all day long, but at the end of the day, if they aren’t selling their music they are not a success in the music business. I think it would be very generous of Buble’ to buy 20 copies and give them away to people who might not otherwise discover Susan’s talent. Perhaps whet their appetite to buy the next one when it comes out. WTG Buble’!

I think that’s really sweet of Michael. He’s such a darling, and it’s cool that he honestly wants to show support for a fellow artist.

Michael Buble is the crooner of our generation. The Susan Boyle story is a a powerful one and after I watched the first clip of her on BGT I too was moved to the point where I might say “I’ll go buy 20 copies!” Although it might be a hyperbole, but it was said from the heart. As for Buble, he is one of the most talented artists of the 21 century, in an industry that is becoming more and more pop oriented its a nice and necessary alternative.

perhaps joe who calls michael an idiot better look at the mirror. only an idiot would take it literally when somebody says, “i’ll buy 20 copies of her cd!”. that, joe, is just a figure of speech, expressing support and admiration for susan boyle. or i guess you don’t even know what a figure of speech means….oopps!

thanks for all the love you diehard michael buble’ fans, just goes to show his fan base consists of morons. “is the crooner of our generation” what a sad statement about the generation! The problem is this singer does not have a signature voice…how do you distinguish him from any other lounge, or for that fact any other karaoke bar singer? at least you knew it was Sinatra, Sammy Davis, Dean Martin or Bobby Darin when you heard them! whats worse is the guy tries to cover Sinatra songs! this guys right up there with Harry Connick, another mediocre talent. Michael Buble’ is a hack! Joe’

    Jealous Joe! : )

Buble’ could not even carry Sinatra, Sammy, Bobby or Deano’s luggage. He is a disgrace and a mockery of truly talented crooners. Furthermore, Connick Jr. and Josh Groban can and do always leave Buble’ in their dust. The ones i had positive chat about are and will always be better than Buble’ even if he were doing a Milli Vanilli version of all these greats. Susan Boyle has a fine voice that does not have excessive vibrato and she in time will become even better. Fine wine usually gets better in time! Buble’ is like tasting a swig of bootleg houch. Makes me want to spit it out of my mouth every single time. Good day!

I used to think Michael Buble was greater than Sinatra (only because Sinatra became so cavalier that I didn’t believe him when he sang love songs), but I saw Buble in concert and saw that he’s a young man who’s so full of himself that he spoils the very thing I thought was special about him – his sincerity. I’m glad he has good words for someone, but I don’t trust him. I think his publicist told him to do it.

Wow! Some people are just so hateful! I can distinguish Sinatra and Bennet songs. And I have to tell you Buble has a very smooth and sultry voice that you don’t hear very often anymore. People just compare Micheal Buble to Sinatra because that is all they know! Buble has his own sound and puts a nice twist on things. I have seen him in concert twice and I came to tears twice. He is a very genuine person(saw him on Oprah and many talkshows), he puts on a cool and confident act, but is not full of himself. He is very grateful!

I think Joe and the Boy’s are jealous the All the women Love, Michael Bubble’. If they were smart they would know his music puts us in the mood!

Michael Buble has an original sound, just not very many original songs, i think he can be considered the Frank Sinatra or Dean Martin of our generation because even though the popularity of jazz is dying out he’s still popular. One thing that every jazz fan should have is tolerance and respect for artists and other genres of music even if you don’t like it, there’s no point in calling other people names or being rude.

I, for one, feel that Frank Sinatra would be happy to see Michael Buble’ come along and stick with the best music of its period. I can remember when Sinatra quit the Hit Parade because the pop music got so bad he wouldn’t sing it. Buble’ brings an energy and quality to his generation. He’ll be around when the screaming teeny-boppers are long forgotten. He sings and performs like a grown up.

i like michael buble style of singing and his songs too. him mentioning susan boyle shows humbleness and sincerity the fact that he himself is a star in his own right. susan boyle is just starting to be. acknowledgment by someone already up there regarding the latter is just unimaginable. they are both gifted and surely their style will last long forever. God Bless to both of them.

  • Mike

I think that’s real decent of Michael Buble and in response to Joe, it’s sounds like he has his own luggage to carry. I think Buble and Boyle are both very talented singers and seem to have good personalities to boot.
