Lily Allen to Launch Record Label

Lily AllenLILY Allen will have to put on her business head for her next venture — she’s planning to launch her very own record label.

The British singer — who has spent the past few months complaining about the state of music industry — says she wants to step away from the microphone and take on a more active role behind the scenes.

“I’m setting up a record label at the moment, getting involved in lots of different things,” she said.

“I think things need to change in the music industry and we need to rethink a lot of stuff.”

Lily, 24, was speaking at Monday night’s Q Awards in London where she received Best Track for her single The Fear.

“I was genuinely shocked by the way the whole album has been received,” Lily said of her second album, It’s Not Me, It’s You. “I really didn’t assume I’d win. I think when you start making assumptions then that’s when things start going wrong.”
