Hilary Swanks Hates Being Objectified

HILARY Swank constantly feels picked on for her looks.
The actress — who plays American aviation pioneer Amelia Earhart in new movie Amelia – says the whole of Hollywood is criticized too much over looks, style and weight.
“Being an actor means we’re constantly being objectified and things are thrown at us, what we look like and how we should look, and we’re not this enough and we’re not that enough so it’s easy to look at yourself in those terms,” she said.
“It is such a shame because ultimately there are so many different ways in which a person is beautiful.”
Swank, 35, recently revealed that she hates being followed by the paparazzi but puts up with it because it’s part of her job as Hollywood star.
“Sometimes you do feel a little bit like you’re in a circus,” she said. “I guess it’s when things become more personal. And you’re like, ‘I’m just an actor, trying to talk about my love for movies.’
“And you just have to remember how you’re doing it. And be in touch with that, really. It is all part of it.”
