Nicolas Cage’s Father Dies
ACTOR Nicolas Cage is in mourning after his father passed away at the age of 75.
August Coppola — the brother of filmmaker Francis Ford Coppola and a professor at San Francisco State University — died Tuesday after suffering a heart attack, said Cage’s spokeswoman Annett Wolf.
Coppola is also survived by sons Christopher and Marc and three grandchildren. He was the uncle of filmmakers Sophia and Roman as well as actor Jason Schwartzman.
In July last year, August posed for a family portrait to promote exclusive fashion company Louis Vuitton’s latest luggage campaign.
