SINGER Shakira is driven by fear.
The Hips Don’t Lie hitmaker says being terrified of failure is the only thing that inspires her to carry on writing pop songs.
“There is nothing scarier than standing in front of a white canvas when you are starting a project,” she said. “You never know if you are going to be able to explore new routes or present new possibilities to people.
“But then it happens again and again and that is what is so exciting. That is what keeps me hungry about doing music.”
The 32-year-old — who has been with her boyfriend for nine years — recently revealed her plans to start a family when her tour ends.
“My body feels like it is asking to reproduce, to have a huge belly and carry babies,” said the 32-year-old. “And when the baby comes, I don’t want to be in the middle of 100,000 projects.”
