MARY-Kate Olsen isn’t gearing up to wed boyfriend Nate Lowman — despite recent reports to contrary.

The National Enquirer claimed earlier this week that the 23-year-old thinks Nate is the man she wants to spend the rest of her life with but was keen to make sure her massive bank balance — she’s reportedly worth $1 billion — is protected before she walks down the aisle.

Mary-Kate began dating Nate, 30, in early 2008 after they were introduced by friends.

“Since then, their love has grown to the point where it’s time to take the next step in their relationship. Because many millions of dollars are at stake, there’s no question that Mary-Kate’s legal advisers will make sure a prenup is ironed out, and Nate’s signature is on the dotted line,” a source said.

“There were plenty of guys who came before him who were wealthier.

“But she knows, because of her tremendous wealth, her son or daughter will never want for money. She’s at a place in her life where she wants to move on to what really counts — getting married and having children.”

But a rep for Olsen insists the star is neither engaged nor preparing a prenuptial agreement.

“Even though this information continues to be reported as ‘fact,’ the stories regarding Mary-Kate being engaged are not in any way accurate,” the spokesperson told People magazine.
