Adam Lambert’s New Single Hits The Airwaves!

Adam LambertADAM Lambert debuted his first single, For Your Entertainment, on Ryan Secrest‘s KIIS radio show Friday morning.

“It’s dance music with a glam-rock shuffle beat, in the style of T. Rex and Rock & Roll, Part 2, ” the American Idol runner-up told KIIS-FM listeners.

Lambert is now streaming the song on his website, adamofficial.com, in time for the Halloween party weekend.

The single is taken from Lambert’s upcoming debut album, which is also called For Your Entertainment.

Earlier this week, Lambert revealed the “campy” cover for his eagerly-awaited album.

In the artwork, the openly gay star, 27, is seen wearing yellow eye shadow, black eye liner and black nail polish to accent a blue ‘do.

“Thank you to those who appreciate and understand that the album cover is deliberately campy,” he wrote in a Twitter post Wednesday. “It’s an homage to the past. It IS ridiculous.”

“For those that don’t get it: oh well…Glad to have gotten your attention,” added Lambert. “androgyny. Rock n Roll.”

    Ok, I just listened to it and I think I might cry. And NOT in a good way. I am so disappointed…this sounds just like a Britney song until the end when it actually starts to sound like him. Sure the beat is fun…but his voice throughout most of the song is kind of…annoying…

    I love FYE and am playing it nonstop. Adam’s voice isn’t showcased as much as I would like, but the song makes me sing and dance.

    It’s OK. Adam deserves better. Why would anyone “enhance” his voice. Until the end when you can actually here his voice, it oculd have been anyone. We love his voice-we want to hear it.

    I didn’t think much of the song at first because it was not what I expected but then again I had no idea what Adam was going to do! Now I’ve listened to it a few times I think it is brilliant and I think it will be a solid dance hit. However… I hope this is only part of the range of songs Adam is going to offer. He has a big audience from teeny boppers to those of us who danced their way through the eighties so he is going to have to keep up the versatility he showed on A.I. to keep everyone interested. Go Adam!

    I have listened to the quick blurbs from Adam’s album, which I have pre-ordered for my daughter and I and I think it is exactly what Adam said it would be. There is a great variety of styles on the cd, one will not be bored by it. I love the Time for Miracles song which showcases his amazing vocal range…love the FYE song…very catchy …very much makes you sing and dance…that was his goal people…The other songs on the cd go from a song that reminds one of Queen…needless to say he can belt like Mercury…soft smooth ballads…uptempo tech songs…dance songs…it is a cool mix…it should do well…He is a very talented guy and Un-Godly hot….I am excited to see he get on stage at AMA’s because we all know he will bring the house down..
