Hugh Jackman’s Oscars Job Will Go to Someone Else in 2010

HUGH Jackman won’t be hosting next year’s Oscars, it has been reported.
According to trade rag Variety, the Aussie actor — who drew praise for his first Oscar hosting gig in February — quietly turned down the job within the past few weeks.
Jackman, 41, is currently starring alongside British actor Daniel Craig in the Broadway play A Steady Rain.
Jackman may take on hosting duties again in the future, but it’s understood that he didn’t want to do the show two years in a row, according to Variety.
Once his Broadway run ends, Jackman will take time off and prepare for The Real Steel, which begins production in the spring.
The 82nd annual Academy Awards will take place March 7, 2010.
Jackman — who has been wed to wife Deborra-Lee Furness for 13 years — recently revealed how he keeps his marriage alive.
“Make sure you have a date night just the two of you together, without the kids,” he told OK! magazine.
“And don’t be afraid to tell your kids that you have no idea what you’re doing either.”
