LEGEND Elton John has been hospitalized with an E.coli infection, his official website stated last night.
The site, eltonjohn.com, explains the star has “a serious case of E.coli bacterial infection and influenza”.
The Rocket Man singer, 62, has been ordered to postpone three US concerts with Billy Joel next month.
Sir Elton postponed a Dublin concert on Thursday after shelving gigs in London, Liverpool, Sheffield, Newcastle.
He is reportedly being treated at Central London’s King Edward VII Hospital.
Promoters say they are hoping to reschedule the European dates — part of his Red Piano tour — for December.
Elton’s partner David Furnish spent most of yesterday at his bedside, telling reporters as he left, “He’s OK, he’s fine.”
