Taylor Swift Breaks Record With Album

Taylor SwiftCONGRATULATIONS are in order for Taylor Swift!

The teen singing sensation has earned top honors as the artist with the longest-charting album on Billboard’s Top 200 charts, Billboard has announced.

Swift’s self-titled debut, released in October 2006, now spends its 157th week on the chart, more weeks than any other album this decade. The 19-year-old takes the honor from band Nickelback.

Taylor’s disc — which surpassed the 151-week chart life of Shania Twain’s Come On Over — also becomes the longest-charting album from a female country artist in the Nielsen SoundScan era.

Swift recently admitted her fears that she’s not “edgy” enough to impress the public.

“I feel like I disappoint people sometimes because I’m not edgy enough or I don’t throw sharp objects or flip out,” she said. “I feel like in my interviews people don’t believe I’m not drunk or stumbling out of clubs at 6am. They think I’m weird because I’m not.”
