Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart ARE Dating — Despite Recently Published Denials

Robert Pattinson and Kristen StewartIN the December 2009 issue of Vanity Fair magazine, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart deny that they’re dating.

“It doesn’t make any difference what you say [to the tabloids],” Pattinson, 23, told writer Evgenia Peretz. “I’ve literally been across the country [from Kristen], and it’s like, ‘Oh, they were on a secret date!’ It’s like, ‘Where? I can’t get out of my hotel room!’”

“It’s so retarded,” Kristen added. “We’re characters in this comic book.”

“What Rob and Kristen had is a multitude of feelings for each other,” said Catherine Hardwicke, who directed the pair in Twilight. “Complex feelings for each other. It was what we needed. Complex, intense fascination.”

However, the interview was conducted several months ago — and, as Gossip Cop notes, circumstances change and the pair have since been seen at several concerts together, sharing meals, and getting cozy.

Shortly before the interview was turned in to Vanity Fair, Peretz contacted reps for both actors and Summit Entertainment to again confirm or deny a possible relationship, and suddenly this time they would not offer a comment, Gossip Cop reports.

Pattinson recently admitted that he often messes up his relationships.

“With New Moon I felt really relaxed and found it easy to get back into it,” he said. “I think it’s because I always connected more to the second book, than the first. I just understood the story and his motivations a lot more, because there are all these emotions in it that I can relate to in my own life, like when he feels himself making the wrong decision about leaving Bella behind, but he does it anyway.

“I think you do that a lot, as a guy, in relationships. It’s like you’re compelled to mess it up.

“I can understand him doing that, because I’m always messing up. It’s real life — it’s what happens!”

New Moon hits theaters later this month.

    Whatttt? These guys are crazy…Now that Vanity Fair issue is out and he confirms they are not dating, the tabloids will have difficulty finding material and they will start selling less than before. Plus, they would be publicly lying this time… For that reason, they try to manipulate the story in their interest saying that he lies and even though he confirms not dating , they are dating… I believe him.. He is an honest guy… I think they are not dating… I believe they are flirting though. I have seen them flirting in interviews. But that is it.. They cannot confirm anything , because they aren’t even committed to each other.. If their relationship builds up after this, i am sure we will see some PDA in photos and we will consider THEM a confirmation.. Stop lying !

    i believe robert too i mean theres nothing that he’s ever lied about. rob is a true honest guy and so is kristen. so for all you stupid gossip magazines that say they are a couple she’s cheating he’s having an affair SHUT UP THERE NOT IF YOU WANT REAL ANSWERS LISTEN TO WHAT THESE POOR STARS ARE SAYING LEAVE THEM ALONE!!

    I must be the only one, but i do believe the article and that the two are flirting if not dating.
    The VF interview is old, the two have a “mutual nervous (sexual) tension and attraction” (according to C. HARDWICKE)…these are not the best ingredients for a relationship to remain a “good friends” one…
    but i think that’s great ^^
    i just wish they could live normally and were not always justifying about their relationship.

    this was done sometime in july they were not toghter then. Rember Kristen was trying to work things out with mike. If this was ture why would his reps are her gost say it is ture they have not said that yet. Everytime they are aked they say nothing i think if it was still likr that they say it.even VF has saked them are they still gost friends and no comment.

    I agree with Paris. In the upcoming issue of VF they are finally speaking out and DENYING the rumors of them being together, but of course the gossip mags are now gonna claim the interview was done months ago and things have changed. Bullcrap! And I don’t care what others such as Gossip Cop state that as of late they are seen having dinner and concerts and getting cozy, so what? What does that prove? That they are close friends that’s all!

    ye. ok mag us and others have been saying for months tht she is pregnant and he has a drink problem and they r geting married and moving in together.when r they goin to leave rob and kristen alone. they r just tryin to enjoy them self and they cant cause stupid paps.

    NOOOOO! Rob why? He loves her. I KNOW he does. They’re either together and not coming out for their own reasons or they’re still at the ‘good friend’ level cause they’re weird around each other. We haven’t seen an interview with both of them since Twilight and back then they were like attracted to each other yet hesitant. i thought they PASSED that stage. if they didn’t then Kristens realllly hard to get. I think she is. I can tell. I love her, and i love Rob. And i want them to be happy. and i think Rob is in love with her and he is happiest when he is with Kristen. If they are not together, it is probably on Kristens part. Maybe someday…

    Dating or not they are cute!
    How come when he was asked if he was with Nikki Reed right away he said no?
    He did the same when asked if he was linked romantically with Ashley Greene.
    With Kristen he can’t give a yes, or no answer.
    Anyway it would be nice to see a Rob, and Kristen free issue of a magazine for a week. I’m sure they would agree.

    Guys i just read somewhere else that this is old. ish. when he says “across the country” that was when he was in New York filming Remember me and she was in LA filming The Runaways. Therefore..durrr no secret dates happened!

    But what is kristen talking about? comic book? wtf Twilight isn’t a comic book? hahah

    either way, i love them. and i WANT THEM TOGETHER!

    Duh people! He was trying to deny going on secret dates with Kristen not their ‘relationship’! And yeah, this interview was done months ago when he was filming RM. If you read the beginning of the interview, it’s said that he was interviewed in his hotel room in New York and he hasn’t been to NY since RM. And you’re still not convince, then how come they won’t just tell us no right away just like what Kristen used to answer when she was with MA. But now either Kristen’s gonna roll her eyes or someone would tell off the person who asked them if they’re going out.

    the comic book comment was in reference to their life, not so much twilight. She was saying that their life is prety much like a fantasy for some people full of ups and downs i.e. a comic book!
