ADAM Lambert insists he’s happy being single.
The American Idol runner-up — who recently split from beau Drake LaBry because he’s too busy with his career — says he’ll start dating when he’s on tour.
“I’m cool being single,” Lambert told Us Weekly magazine. “I will date on tour.”
The singer — whose debut album, For Your Entertainment, comes out on Nov. 23 — says he’s looking for someone who is “intelligent” and has “creativity and compassion.”
Adam says his ex is a “very good friend” after their mutual decision to end the relationship.
“I don’t really feel like there were any mistakes made,” he said. “I feel like things evolved. Sometimes you’re on the same page with somebody, and sometimes you have to get off that page and on to another one.”
Sources claimed Adam’s determination to focus on his career caused the couple to call time on their romance.
“It was mainly because Adam’s life is so hectic,” a friend of Lambert’s recently told People magazine. “He needs to focus on his career right now.”
“They’re still friends, and it’s totally mutual,” an insider had previously told Us Weekly magazine. “They will still talk and see each other.
“Adam is crazy busy right now getting the album done and squeezing in rehearsals.
“They both felt this moment is too important for Adam to focus on anything else but getting this album out and having it be a huge hit.”
