Michael Jackson ‘Had Big Plans’
MICHAEL Jackson wasn’t planning to retire at the end of his 50-date This Is It concert tour — according to choreographer Kenny Ortega.
Ortega claims the tragic King of Pop — who died June 25 — planned to use the live shows as a springboard for making new music.
“Michael was not intending to resign,” says Kenny. “He wasn’t retiring. He thought he’d do the 50 shows in London and then he said, ‘If it works and I still feel good and I still have the energy, I would love to go to Africa. I would love to go to India. I would love to go to Japan.’
“Michael was intending to go out there with his children and see the whole rest of the world, share that experience with them, meet the fans, take one more grand bow and then he wanted to pull the plug on his live performing.
“He still wanted to do movies and albums. He had so much more in him still.”
Jackson’s friend Terry Harvey recently claimed the star was “clearly under the influence of drugs” as he prepared for his London comeback gigs.
“Everyone in the house knew Michael was not himself, and was clearly under the influence of drugs,” Terry told UK tabloid the News of The World. “I was amazed at how he looks on film [This is It documentary], because in the flesh he was a shadow of himself.
“He was thin, almost anorexic, pale and didn’t seem to have enough energy to walk across the room, let alone dance.
“He had a sharp mind, but he was deluded, hampered by the drugs. He didn’t know what he was saying to people. To make his life easy he would just say ‘yes’.
“He was walking around in a daze like a zombie.
“To me that movie is all smoke and mirrors. Michael was struggling with his dance moves and schedule.
“Michael was not fit enough — he couldn’t pull off a tour if his life depended it. They took the best bits of the video and made it into this movie.
“The rehearsals were long days, and Michael was tired. He hadn’t been on stage for over 10 years and wasn’t used to the physical demands of long days. Some days he didn’t even turn up to rehearsals.”

First of all I heard several interviews with Michael that he had other plans that he was going to do other things. I would believe him over that "friend " who is trying to get something out of this by saying he didnt want to do it. I heard Michael himself say that this is only the beginning. I know for a fact Michael had a clothing line coming out, music coming out, he wanted to direct. I wouldnt believe the Star if my life depended on it. THey said a lot about Michael & they are trash. All these "so-called friends" who are trying to make Michael look bad by portraying him as a poor frail creature who cant make his own decisions are hurting him. I saw the movie & granted it wasnt all of the tape but Michael was clearly making his own decisions without anyone pressuring him. They were asking him what he wanted. Of course he got tired sometimes too. He got tired at his other concerts. I have been watching History & he was tired there too. Get anyone out there doing that & see if they wouldnt be tired. Michael wanted to do this for his kids & fans. He wasnt doing it just to say yes. He wanted to show himself & the world that he still had it & boy did he. He was amazing & strong, He knew what he wanted & I love him & always will like I always have. Thank you Michael for all you did
Sorry I have to ammend the comment. I misread the story a little. I meant to say I wouldnt believe the so-called friend if my life depended on it. I also wouldnt believe the Star magazine or any which is what I was referring to. The media was very mean to Michael. He was a lovely wonderful man who wanted to help everyone & never wanted to hurt anyone or speak negatively. He only had a handful of friends as he himself has said so for all these people to come out & say they are his friends &knew what he was thinking & feeling just blows my mind that they can be so cruel. I doubt if Michael would want this or that half these people are his friends because they are not looking out for him or his best interest. Isnt that what friends or anyone who cares about you is suppose to do?
dont worry dear elizabeth.. we love michael so much..and we trust in him, we dont believe the media and the ppl who claimed friends to michael and said anything bad about michael, only in michael we believe..we know from the beginning who he as..he is just a pure talented smart man, whole world knows that..then man who said about michael on this tabloid is not a friend of MJ, thats not friend..but an idiot who trying to get attention!! we love mj forever and nobody will change the love we have for him..
