MINNIE Driver insists she’s a hands-on mom — she only employs a nanny when she has to work.
The British actress — who welcomed a son, Henry Story Drive, in September last year — says she prefers to do her own laundry and grocery shopping instead of using hired help.
“I do have a nanny when I have to work,” says Minnie. “And Henry’s dad works. So when we’re away, I have an amazing nanny. But my life is my life. I go to the grocery story, and I do my own laundry. You know, I take care of my son.”
Driver, 39, also revealed that motherhood has taken up the majority of her time — much to her surprise!
“I thought I would have more time to work on my music when I was a mom,” she said. “But there’s no time. When you’re breastfeeding, you’re just the milk machine! You’re just doing that.
“So there’s no time to pick up the guitar, and write and think. Or go for a walk, and have a beer. Good luck! It’s just laundry, and figuring stuff out. But it’s great.”
