The Hips Don’t Lie hitmaker celebrated her Rolling Stone cover and the release of her new album She Wolf at New York’s Bowery Hotel Monday night.
The 32-year-old superstar recently revealed that being terrified of failure is the only thing that inspires her to carry on writing pop songs.
“There is nothing scarier than standing in front of a white canvas when you are starting a project,” she said. “You never know if you are going to be able to explore new routes or present new possibilities to people.
“But then it happens again and again and that is what is so exciting. That is what keeps me hungry about doing music.”
Shakira — who has been with her boyfriend for nine years – has also spoken of her plans to start a family when her tour ends.
“My body feels like it is asking to reproduce, to have a huge belly and carry babies,” she said. “And when the baby comes, I don’t want to be in the middle of 100,000 projects.”
