Michael Jackson Buried in $35k Suit
MICHAEL Jackson was buried in a $35,000 suit, court documents show.
The King of Pop — who died on June 25 — was laid to rest in September in a lavish ceremony that cost at least $1 million — with the expenses covered by his estate.
The funeral bill alone from Forest Lawn Cemetery totaled $855,730. This figure included entombing Jackson inside the Grand Mausoleum, costing $590,000.
Michael’s casket cost $25,000, his burial garments totaled $35,000, while $175,089 was spent on security, according to People magazine.
Other expenses include $3,682 for framing of a photograph of Jackson next to his casket; $1,975 for wardrobe costs for the family; $11,716 for invitations/programs; $16,000 for flowers; and $30,000 for additional cars and security.
Meanwhile, the singer’s dad, Joe Jackson, has accused the administrators of Michael’s will of fraud.
