MICHAEL Jackson’s mother Katherine insists she has no problem with John Branca and John McClain as executors of of her tragic son’s estate.
Michael’s dad, Joe Jackson, filed legal papers yesterday, accusing Branca and McClain of fraud.
Joe claimed the pair had forged Michael’s will.
But in court Tuesday, Judge Beckloff ruled that Joe did not have legal standing to contest the administrators of Michael’s estate and cleared the way for Branca and McClain to be officially appointed executors of the Jackson fortune.
Katherine’s attorney, Adam Streisand, said after court that he does not believe Joe has any legal claim to an allowance from the estate since he was not provided for in the will.
Michael omitted Joe from his will. Instead, he instructed that a sizable portion of his vast earnings should go toward supporting his beloved mother, kids and several children’s charities.
Joe, 80, recently demanded a monthly allowance from Michael’s estate.
He filed papers in L.A. County Superior Court last Friday, claiming he’s “entitled to his own independent family allowance.”
In the documents, Leonard Rowe — who claims to have been Michael’s manager — says the King of Pop used to give his mother Katherine up to $60,000 a month to live on, and that Michael instructed her to give half of it to Joe.
Joe claims Michael’s estate has “earned more than $100 million dollars in the first seven weeks following Michael Jackson’s death” and is “well able to afford a family allowance for Joe Jackson.”
Joe says he spends $15,425 a month: $2,500 eating out; $2,000 for air travel; $3,000 for hotel bills; $1,000 for groceries; $1,200 for rent; and $50 in charitable contributions.
