Sharon Osbourne Says Sorry to Susan Boyle

Sharon Osbourne“I like everybody to do well. Even somebody that looks like a slapped a**e. God bless her. It’s like, ‘You go girl’. She does look like a hairy a**ehole,” were Sharon Osbourne‘s recent comments on Britain’s Got Talent superstar Susan Boyle.

And now she’s apologized.

“Susan Boyle is a lovely gracious woman and I took advantage of that by poking fun at her,” Osbourne wrote on her Twitter page earlier this week. “I would never want to be responsible for hurting Susan and I must apologize for getting a cheap laugh at her expense.”

Boyle, 47, is set to release her first album, I Dreamed A Dream, Nov. 24.

    I'm so sorry to hear that Sharon Osbourne made such scathing comments about Susan Boyle, since I still believe that we should honor true talent. I'm wondering if Sharon would feel good about herself or her daughter being criticized in this fashion. i've been voting for Kelly Osbourne to remain on Dancing With the Stars, have enjoyed Sharon on America's Got Talent but am now very disappointed in all of them. This is sheer arrogance, and I feel that Sharon is only riding on the coat tails of a famous old hippy! i get a kick out of Ozzie, but anyone coming from that bizzare family should be very careful who they criticize!! Shame on you, Sharon, I thought you were more of a lady than that!!

    wow sharon what a comment i do believe way back you were a work in progress what is up when $ and so called status mix together it sure is ugly- and easily forgetting when all wasn't so "fetching" I think boyle is adorable and sharon she will probably end up way cuter than you

    At lease Susan is "for real!" Take away the plastic surgery, the high-priced hair coloring (and probably hair, too) as well as who knows what other kind of body work she's had done and I think Sharon's commments would be more applicable to herself.

    Somehow an internet "apology" just doesn't do it … a public apology rendered using the same media as the insult was shared would be in order. Ms. Boyle is a lady, and until such apology is made, Ms. Osbourne, you remain … well, Ozzie's wife. Ewwwww.
