LADY GaGa is all heart!

The eccentric singer, 23, has revealed how she penned her song Speechless for her dad, to try to persuade him to have a vital heart operation.

“Speechless was my plea to my father to get this heart operation,” says Gaga. “I sent it to my dad when I was on the road. I said ‘Please Dad’ and he still wouldn’t do it and one day he just started not feeling so good so I dropped everything and sat down with him.

“I told him it was not just his heart at stake, it was all our hearts. I told him if he died I would quit music and mum would not be able to function. And, thankfully, he did it.”

GaGa, real name Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, recently revealed how she covered the cost of her father’s operation with the advance for her new album.

“It was pretty necessary… It was the biggest nightmare of my life,” she said. “My father is my whole world; I’m such a daddy’s girl.

“I said, ‘I haven’t bought anything yet with any of the money that I’ve made from my new album… so let me buy you a new heart, dad.’ And he said, ‘OK, fine.’

“I took care of my mom and my sister and I took care of me, and he’s gonna be out in a couple of days… Now I feel like I can get back to work.

“For a while I was feeling like I just wanted to give up. This really kinda put things in perspective…

“When this happened I really just kinda said, ‘I don’t wanna do anything for the next two weeks; I just wanna be with my dad and be a good daughter.’”
