ROBERT Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner, Dakota Fanning and Ashley Greene hit the red carpet at the Mann’s Village Theater in Westwood, CA, Monday night for the Los Angeles premiere of their eagerly-awaited new movie The Twilight Saga: New Moon, which hits theaters Friday (November 20).

“I’m surprised at how relaxed I am about the whole thing now,” Pattinson recently said about the impending release of New Moon. “I was really nervous when we started shooting New Moon, especially because of the expectation and everything… only because the first one did so well. I was really freaking out.”

“As soon as I stopped trying to control everything that came out of my mouth and every picture that came out, that’s when I became so much happier and it was so much easier to deal with,” Kristen insists she no longer watches what she says. “It wasn’t like it was a turning point. I’ve just grown into being able to not care as much and to not think that I’m going to be able to plan out the way that everybody perceives me.

“There are no false impressions. Everyone’s impression of you is going to be what it is in that isolated moment. I should just stop trying to control what’s coming out of my mouth.”

“I try to stay away from what has been written about me because if you let that stuff get to you and it’s not true, it can drive you crazy,” Taylor says he avoids the tabloids.

“One thing that I have heard recently, which is definitely not true, I was quoted as saying I will never take my shirt off for a movie again. I didn’t say that. If I have to, if the character requires it, I will.

“Who knows, in 10 years, I might do that. And like I said earlier, if a character requires me to lose 40 lbs, I’ll do it. It’s just what the character requires.

“I knew where my character went in New Moon and that’s all I tried to focus on. I couldn’t control things outside or the media. But I could control what I was doing to portray Jacob correctly.”

“I read all four Twilight books in one week,” Fanning recently told Teen Vogue. about why she wanted to star in the vampire movie franchise. “It’s such a phenomenon, and I wanted to be able to say that I was a part of it.”

“Oh, my God, I wanted this part so badly!” Greene recently told Maxim magazine, referring to her role in Twilight. “I worked my butt off for it because I absolutely love Alice, my character. She’s sweet, sexy, and a killer! So when they told me I got it, I tried to play it all cool, you know, for about a minute.

“Suddenly the Twilight blogs started picking it up, and then fans were there taking photos, and I’m on the news, and I was like, ‘What?’ And then I got really nervous.”
