ELTON John is doing just fine after battling an E. coli bacterial infection and the flu.

At Monday’s “An Enduring Vision” benefit for the Elton John AIDS Foundation in New York, the Rocket Man hitmaker, 62, told Us Weekly magazine “it was something that I’ve never had before — a serious e-coli infection which I got from something I ate.”

The music legend says he isn’t sure what offensive food item triggered the frightening bout — but it certainly wasn’t anything cooked up by David Furnish, his partner of 16 years.

“No! No! David doesn’t cook!” he said, adding that he’s “back and raring to go . . . I’m out and about and I’m good.”
