Cindy Crawford Blackmailer Surrenders

THE man accused of trying to extort Cindy Crawford out of $100,000 has turned himself in to police in his native Germany.
According to authorities, former male model Edis “Eddie” Kayalar stole a photo of Crawford and her husband Rande Gerber‘s eight year-old daughter, Kaia.
The photo, which was allegedly stolen by the couple’s former nanny, depicts Kaia “bound to a chair and gagged” as part of the nanny’s “cops and robbers game.”
Kayalar then allegedly tried to parlay the photo into a payout from the celebrity couple — lest he give the photo to the media.
He was charged last week with one count of extortion despite having already been deported to Germany, where he allegedly continued to try blackmailing the couple.
On Monday, Kalayar went to a Stuttgart police station and surrendered himself, according to the Los Angeles Times.
“Rande Gerber and Cindy Crawford intend to pursue any and all available legal action against anyone who aids the perpetrator in the distribution or sale of the photograph of their daughter,” a statement from the couple’s representative said.
Crawford and Gerber — who have been married since 1998 — also have a son, 10.
