Janet Jackson Didn’t Know Michael Used Propofol

Posted by Adam

Janet JacksonJANET Jackson insists she was completely unaware her tragic brother, pop superstar Michael Jackson, used Propofol.

The King of Pop died of acute Propofol intoxication on June 25. He was 50.

While Janet admits she knew Michael had a drug problem, she says she didn’t know he touched the drug that ultimately killed him.

In an interview with Robin Roberts, the singer says it was “a shocker” when she found out about the dangerous drug he used to go to sleep — and no one in family knew the extent to which he was using.

Janet also revealed that the Jackson family did their best to stop Michael’s addiction to prescription drugs by staging more than one intervention.

“Of course, that’s what you do,” Janet told Robin Roberts. “Those are the things that you do when you love someone. You can’t just let them continue on that way.”

“We did a few times,” says Janet, the youngest child in the family. “We weren’t very successful.”

The singer says that her brother responded in a measured way to his family’s attempts to help. “He understood that it was out of love, out of caring. But people can be in denial.”

When Roberts follows up to ask if Michael was in denial, she replies, “I wish he could answer this question. And not me.”

What killed Michael, was the sustained trauma of being put through a baseless, protracted trial that should never have reached court, knowing that if found guilty he would be removed from his children's lives. After his acquittal, he was relentlessly vilifed by a media that decided to simply disregard a verdict they found economically inconvienient. The question is why was Michael using? How would any of us fare if we had endured what Michael did, I wonder? I'm a mess if I miss a deadline at work or if my computer plays up? By the way, propofol is not a drug used to get high, but rather one that brings loss of consciousness. We must have compassion.

Michael’s mind was clearly tormented and in great pain. Reading the lyrics of his songs, clearly showed he was saddened and depressed, i.e., Stranger In Moscow, Scream, etc. He also spoke about himself dying on the Barbara Walters interview some time ago. He knew he was having problems with medications, but to him the meds made him escape the pain and harsh reality he faced when he left outside of his house. I thank God that when I went through a hard time, a friend came by and told me “f### anybody and anyone who didn’t like me.” She gave me such a hard pep talk that I NEVER FORGOT IT to this day. Someone close should have constantly given him the HARD pep talk to help him get over some of this depression.

There will never be another talent greater than Michael Jackson. I think he was the best entertainer ever. I can’t believe he’s gone. I cried for days after his passing. I do not believe any of those horrible allegations that had been made against him. When a person is rich and famous, they become a target for scandals and I believe that’s what happened to dear Michael. May his beautiful soul be with God, in peace, happiness, and joy forever. I love you, Michael.

If the family had cared ENOUGH they would have done something about Michael’s depression and state of mind during his TEEN to early 20-years. He needed help and counseling back then becuz of the pressures of fame and fortune and his mother admitted in her book that she could tell he was witndrawing into his own world — so why didn’t they take action way back then? I will never believe they couldn’t have gotten him some REAL professional help. Michael had been blatantly CRYING OUT for help for decades. His wife Lisa was the one who could have stood up to him. He could not control her with his money because they were almost equals. If she also had loved him ENOUGH she could have made sure he was helped even if she had to turn him in to the authorities to FORCE him into SERIOUS rehab.
