Chaz Bono Calls Sex Change ‘The Best Decision I’ve Ever Made’

CHAZ Bono says he is finally “living the life I always wanted to live” after undergoing a gender reassignment from female to male.
“It’s the best decision I’ve ever made,” Chaz — formerly Chastity — said in an interview with Good Morning America. “I feel great.”
Chaz — the daughter-turned-son of pop superstar Cher — added, “I’ve felt male as far back as I can remember.
“I’ve struggled a lot getting here. If by being public other people can see this and not have to struggle as much as I did, then I’m really happy to do that.”
Chaz, 40, says that being Sonny and Cher’s kid created an “incredible hurdle” in his journey. “I wasn’t going to be able to do this privately like most people can,” he says.
Although he makes no mention of his famous mother or girlfriend Jennifer Elia, Bono admits that “dealing with the people in my life” was an additional obstacle.
Today, he says that he feels “more comfortable now that I’ve ever been” when looking in the mirror. “And there’s more to come.”
“Absolutely nothing scares me now,” Chaz concluded.
