Robert Pattinson doesn’t want to read minds like his Twilight chracter Edward Cullen — instead, he’d like an endless supply of wishes!

“I wouldn’t like to read minds,” Pattinson told UK newspaper the Sunday Mirror when asked about his dream superpower. “No way. If they’re not going to tell you what they’re thinking, then you wouldn’t want to know. I think I would like to have infinite wishes.”

The New Moon star, 23, then went on to recall the first time he felt famous. “It was terrifying!” he said. “And it started months before Twilight even came out. The power of the internet. There was literally one day when it all changed.

“A few people had recognized me from Harry Potter, and then one day someone came up to me on the street in LA and asked: ‘Are you the guy from Twilight?’ And I had only been shooting for a week.

“A lot of the time [being recognized] is really annoying, but, at the same time, I know for the jobs that I want to do, it’s extremely important to have that and to nurture it as well. Plus it really only happens in big cities where people just know stuff.

“I used to own a flat in Soho (London), but I am essentially a nomad. I sort of stay in LA for long periods for work.”
