Steven Tyler Writing a Book
STEVEN Tyler says he’s taking time off from Aerosmith to write a book while his injured shoulder heals.
The frontman sustained the injury after falling off stage at a gig in August.
Tyler’s rep says the rocker is using his free time productively by penning his autobiography.
“He’s concentrating on his book right now while his shoulder heals,” said the spokesman.
However, Tyler’s Aerosmith bandmates aren’t so sure — and have urged the 61-year-old — whose daughter is Hollywood actress Liv Tyler – to seek help and “get healthy”.
“Steven has made some poor choices as of late,” said drummer Joey Kramer, “and he’s got some bad influences around him, and I think that for the most part he’s his own worst enemy. I just really hope that Steven puts the focus on Steven and gets healthy.”
“I suspect there’s a lot more going on than we know about,” said guitarist Brad Whitford. “He has a well-documented history of drug abuse, and I find myself very suspicious.
“I haven’t seen him do this or have any personal knowledge, but the isolation is very typical of addictive behavior, and his – what I call — irrational behavior.”
