ADAM LAMBERT WAS GETTING BORED WITH LIFE
ADAM Lambert admits he was getting “bored” with his life before taking part on American Idol.
The flamboyant star — who lost out to the adorable Kris Allen on the US TV talent show — says Idol helped him open up another chapter in his life.
“Being in L.A. around young Hollywood for the past eight years desensitized me to the whole machine,” Lambert says of his dramatic rise to fame. “If this were brand new, I’d be overwhelmed. At 27, I’ve already done a lot of self-searching to learn who I am. Had this happened five years ago, I might not have handled it well. I didn’t have a strong sense of self.
“The timing worked out. I was getting bored with my life. Like, is this it? I was hungry for more. I got my wish!”
The openly-gay star — whose debut album, For Your Entertainment, hits stores later this month — recently insisted he has never been ashamed of his sexuality.
“There was never any deliberate, like, ‘I’m going to hint now…’ because I was never in the closet,” Lambert told MTV of his performances on Idol.
“When those pictures [of me dressed in drag and kissing an ex-boyfriend] came out online, I got freaked out.
“I was like, ‘Great, that’s going to f**k things up’. ‘Cause I just figured, you know, this is a national television program and people are conservative in our country, aside from LA and New York and a couple of other places.”
“I think the whole magic of this moment is that I’m not alienating anybody,” Adam added. “I’m not trying to, anyway. I want as many people to feel like they can like the music.
“I don’t want to edit myself to the point where I feel like I don’t have integrity… It’s almost like being a political figure. It’s like a balancing act.”

rockdiva obviously you don't know anything about Adam Lambert. Arrogant is as far from what this man is as possible. Also, he doesn't flaunt his sexuality – the media does. Adam wants everyone to just be human without the stupid stereotypes.

Obviously, Adam did win on American Idol for he has become just that. Not only an American Idol, but a rock God. In 1956, while I was in college, a young man named Elvis performed a small venue locally – and then his first record came out. The rest is history.
Can't wait to see Adam on the AMAs. I got his new CD in the mail yesterday and it is truly Fantastic!! I am so excited for Adam. The 30 second snippets didn't give any reality to how good this album really is. He has masterfully mixed genres for the last 40 years and made them current and exciting. The Glam God just started a new GLam revolution and it is stunning!!!
