KATIE Holmes took her adorable daughter Suri on a shopping trip in New York over the weekend.

The pair visited Soho Baby, where Suri was especially taken by a train set, according to People magazine.

After quick look around the store, Katie bought the 3-½-year-old rain boots, a matching backpack and little stuffed giraffe.

“[Suri] was wearing nice dress shoes and she took them off and put the rain boots on,” said a store employee. “[Katie] was very nice,. Suri was quiet [but] she was smiling.”

It was recently claimed that former Dawson’s Creek star Holmes and her superstar husband Tom Cruise have so far splashed out over $3m on clothes for Suri.

“Katie and Tom really splurge on Suri, and as they’re so famous, they always get the top fashion designers to custom-make her clothes,” a source said in September this year. “Suri may only be three, but she’s very vocal when it comes to her outfits and she’s rarely seen in anything twice.”
