Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart Hit Twitter!

Robert Pattinson and Kristen StewartROBERT Pattinson and Kristen Stewart took to Twitter Monday to thank their fans for dashing out to see their new film, The Twilight Saga: New Moon — which earned a whopping $140 million in its first three days.

“Thank you for making NEW MOON #1,” Pattinson wrote on Summit Entertainment’s official Twilight Twitter page, which has 162,700 followers.

“It’s very exciting to be a part of something embraced by so many people. I hope you are looking forward to ECLIPSE as much as I am.”

Kristen then followed suit with three consecutive postings.

“You all have proven you’re the most amazing fans in the world once again,” she wrote.

” I feel so lucky to be a part of The Twilight Saga and thank you for making us #1!” said her second Tweet.

“Yes, I twittered. Or twitted..tweeted? I dunno, but thank you sooo much anyway..!” said Stewart’s third posting.

New Moon — which also stars Taylor Lautner — had the third-biggest opening weekend in film history.

The flick grossed a whopping $140.7 million during its first weekend in theaters — earning $72.7 million on its Friday opening day alone, according to box office totals released Sunday.

    I’m sorry but I was not impressed with new moon but i didlike the special effects with the wolves. I’m hoping Eclipse will be better. I felt it drag along could of put more into the movie. I watched it twice and i will buy it but could of been better. Taylor was awesome. I’m still team edward.

    yeh i loved New Moon 2 it was amazing but when i saw it for the second time on the 28th of November their was a black out at the cinema so it stopped working but it was ok because i had already seen it. GOOOOOOOOOOOOO TEAM EDWARD SO HOOOOOOT!!!

    I believe all the actors and actresses in Twilight, New Moon, and Eclispe need to be thanked for entertaining us all so wonderfully. Y’all are great and I for one am very happy y’all have chosen acting as your careers. My hat is off to y’all!!!!

    I love new moon, even thou i love twilight, the movies are going to get better..
    New moon is more like the Books and i love that fact they did a great good with the special effects…
