KRISTEN Stewart says her life is like a “ridiculous soap opera” now that she’s famous.

The actress — who plays Bella in the Twilight movie franchise — says she rarely leaves her hotel room because she hates being followed.

“It [my life] has become like a ridiculous soap opera that seems real but you’re not quite sure,” the 19-year-old told British magazine Grazia. “I don’t leave my hotel room. That’s the only way to avoid being followed.

“Sometimes I manage to escape and I’m able to hang out with other cast members.

“You’re caught in this dilemma of wanting to be a normal person and knowing that if you do go out and have fun that it might turn out to be a big story.”

Kristen has previously revealed that the hysteria that surrounds Twilight means she can no longer go for walks.

“I like being outside,” she said. “I like to take walks and I could totally take walks — it’s not the fans, the fans are great, they would let me walk. It’s the other people, you know what I mean. It’s the other people.”
