Susan Boyle’s Brother Reveals Plans For Biopic!

Susan BoyleSUSAN Boyle’s brother wants Kathy Bates to play the Scottish singer in a biopic about his sister’s life.

“There have been scripts made from a lot less than Susan’s story which by any standards is remarkable,” Gerry Boyle told RadarOnline. “I would not be surprised in the least if there was a film made of her life and I would personally like to see Kathy Bates play my sister.

“Other British actresses like Brenda Blethyn would also be great and I just hope they get Brad Pitt to play me!”

“Susan is planning to be with her family over Christmas and New Year and it will be great to have her home with us over the holidays,” Gerry said of his sibling’s plans for the holidays. “If an unknown woman from a small town in Scotland can go on to become the biggest selling artist in America then anything is possible.

“We are all very proud of Susan and her dream really has come true with these fantastic CD sales.

“I’ve seen a tremendous change in my sister over the last year and she really has a strong team of people surrounding her now.

“I think that the sales of her CD will also be strong in other markets around the world because Susan’s story is so unique and it gives a lot of people hope.”

Susan’s debut album, I Dreamed A Dream, hit record stores at the start of the week.

As an addendum, Susan’s album has sold, I believe, because her music meets a need long felt in the music industry which for years has been sadly lacking in “music”.
Her story is indeed inspiring but it is her incredible voice and the ability to connect with her listeners that has made her a global hit. Not since Garland has a singer been able to connect with the heartstrings of her audience in such a way.
If, indeed, a biopic is ever made of her life, I hope this is the emphasis.

Spot on, Adam. And she was worth the wait! Yes, I too hope that is the emphasis. Susan is not only her story, she is one of the all-time great voices and artists, and I am excited to think of watching her continue to explore her phenomenal talent. Combine her talent with her story, and she’s unbeatable.
