Nicole Kidman: ‘My Dance Scenes Were Cut From Nine’
NICOLE Kidman says her dancing scenes in new movie Nine have been cruelly left on the cutting room floor.
The Aussie actress says she doesn’t know why her performance in the movie — which also stars Fergie, Kate Hudson and Penelope Cruz — has been cut short.
“I did go to London and was involved in a couple of the dance routines,” she says. “But for whatever reason they didn’t make it into the movie.
“I really don’t class myself as a singer or a dancer but hopefully I shouldn’t be reading anything into that.”
Nine hits theaters December 25.
Kidman, 42, recently praised her costar Hudson’s musical abilities in the movie — and urged the Bride Wars star to consider a role on Broadway.
“I came into the rehearsal and I saw Kate dancing up a storm,” she said. “That was my first day and I was very jet-lagged but I went, ‘Wow, that was amazing.’ I can’t wait for people to see that part of her.
“Maybe she’ll do a Broadway show out of this because she so deserves the lead in a show.”
Nicole — who has a daughter, Sunday Rose, with her country music star husband Keith Urban — was recently forced to quash speculation she’s pregnant with her second child.
