Adam Lambert Wasn’t Allowed on GMA — But Chris Brown is!

Chris BrownADAM Lambert wasn’t allowed to appear on ABC’s Good Morning America after he caused controversy with his same sex kiss at the recent American Music Awards — but Chris Brown, who beat up his ex-girlfriend Rihanna, has been booked for an interview and a performance on the show.

Brown, 20, will do a taped tell-all with Robin Roberts, followed by a performance of songs from his new album, according to the New York Post.

Brown’s appearance is slated to air the week after next.

“The network is giving a mixed message — that it doesn’t trust someone who shocked with an unpredictable show and a gay kiss, but then it is happy to go ahead with Chris Brown, who was convicted of felony assault,” a source said.

ABC insiders, however, insist Adam was axed from the show because they couldn’t trust him to behave on live TV.

“He was not canceled over a gay kiss. He showed himself to be unpredictable on live TV,” said one source.

“Chris Brown’s interview was booked way before Adam Lambert took to the stage. It is to give him a chance to respond to Rihanna’s interview. The possibility of him performing a song will be worked out next week.”

I know there may not be a lot of people that may share my opinion but: People in general are saying that Chris needs to pay for assaulting Rihanna including treatment and etc. Now moving forward Chris is still a person and yes he made and did something that is/was wrong but he is still a talented person that needs to make a living. I think by now he has gone the message because he is still paying for the assault not only money, loss of several fans, loss of recording deals and the loss of appearences on TV, radio, concerts.

Now with everything said and done by keep continuing to treat Chris in this manner is really not helping matters, we as people need to learn to let this go so everyone (Rihanna, Chris, fans and the rest of the world) heal and move on. To continue to act this way to Chris, we are missing out one of the most talented (dancing & singing) person, since Michael Jackson has been taken from us. So hopfully we can heal and move on just be wiser so this type of assault does not happen to you and/or your loved ones because I know it is wrong for a male to hit a female as well as a female to hit a male no matter who is a fault, and to honest it is sometime very difficult to walk away from danger as we all should do to save ourselves from harm/death.

I’m very disgusted at many of the comments on here. ABC was definitely wrong for what they did to Adam Lambert, but that has nothing to do with Chris Brown. Adam Lambert is a young white kid who is openly gay and was unfairly provided with a double standard. Chris Brown is young black kid who did something terribly wrong, admitted to his guilt, is seeking help and can hopefully help other kids like him. He has also been unprecedently scrutinized in a way that white entertainers who have committed the came crime (johnny depp, josh brolin, mark wahlberg, etc.) have not been treated. They were actually allowed to move on with life and are doing quite well. So Yes they have both been treated with an unfair view from the media, but they are in totally different situations. Allow Chris Brown to move on with his life and lets hold him to his word of improving and helping others. Whether you like him or not their are many young men that can benefit from him telling his story. Haven’t you used him as a scapegoat enough this year to vent your frustrations? Even his judge gave him praise for his growth a few weeks ago. So though the writer of this article is putting this out there to cause controversy and satisfy their witch hunt of Chris Brown, let’s understand that these are two totally different situations and should be treated as such. We need to fight for gay rights!! But gay rights have nothing to do with Chris Brown!

I’m not surprised at all. Violence is more tolarated than sex. That’s just sad reality. People just weird. They don’t blink an eye when all the news blasting bombing, killing 24/7, but one boob showing, one simulated blow job, one gay kiss, everybody is like “OMG, think about the children”, then go surf the porn sites. LMFAO

UNBELIEVABLE ! I GUESS I WILL BE WATCHING CBS FROM NOW ON.

  6. sunshine816 says:

ABC must find violence against woman more acceptable than an act that was to entertain people. Adam admitted he got carried away but no one was harmed. I have seen raunchier stuff on daytime television (soaps, Jerry Springer, even commercials). In my opinion no child should have been up at 11 pm at night…it was a school night.

  7. peggy says:

Chris Brown on Good Morning America….I would lots rather put up with the AMA’ and Adam Lambert than a woman beater….Look every night at 11 and you can find lots sexier shows than what Adam put on……Love his music and entertainment…..thanks Early Show for having Adam on…and his mother…..

  8. sunny135 says:

Excuse me TJ Disgusted but WHEN has Johnny Depp or Mark Wahlberg ever been accused of the same crimes as that woman beater Chris Brown??

Also I think it is DISGUSTING that such a no talant excuse for a human being is allowed on GMA yet a talented man is not allowed. It really is gross that violence against women is more acceptable then a man who kissed another man and don’t kid yourself that Adam being “unpredictable” is the issue.
