Adam Lambert Doesn’t See Himself as Sexy

Adam LambertADAM Lambert says he doesn’t see himself as sexy.

The American Idol runner-up told Canadian TV show eTalk that he was surprised to feature on People magazine’s recent Sexiest Men Alive issue.

“It’s very flattering,” he said. “I don’t think of myself like that, so that’s crazy.”

However, Adam — who recently split from beau Drake LaBry — says the title hasn’t helped him in the love life department.

“I don’t really have much of a social life right now,” he said.

Lambert, 27, recently revealed that he had self-esteem into his early twenties.

“I never wore full-on eyeliner in high school, but I wanted to,” he said in a recent interview with the USA Today newspaper. “I wanted to wear nail polish so bad, but I was afraid to. I was afraid to express myself for a while.

“I didn’t feel attractive in high school. I had self-esteem issues into my early 20s. I was a little overweight, I had skin problems. As I learned to feel attractive from the inside out, my self-worth got better.”

    LOL I don’t see the “sexiness” either. He looks like a girl, but people also find Criss Angel and Robert Pattinson sexy, so whatever.

    Inside Adam’s CD, where he thanks everyone, he thanks two females for “making him seem handsom”. Perhaps he should avoid the mirror. A mirror image is different than a picture. He should review almost every picture taken of him. I think I’ve seen 2 or 3 that are iffy out of the hundreds that I’ve seen. (and saved)

    More false humility – gag. Adam, why don’t you just admit you think you’re a hot potato and be done with it. You might as well say “Gosh, I never thought I had a good singing voice.” You may have been an ugly duckling, but not for ages. Many of us are still paddling around the duck pond, and we don’t feel sorry for you.

    As for the rest of you who don’t “approve” of his “sexual preference” but “like him anyway”, shut the heck up. What a back-handed slap of a compliment (translate: insult). He didn’t ask for your approval anyway.
