Rihanna: ‘Simon Cowell’s Comments Are Typical of Music Industry’

RIHANNA says Simon Cowell is a pussycat compared to some music executives.
The Umbrella hitmaker says if people can’t take the harsh comments from the judges on TV shows like American Idol and Britain’s X Factor, they probably won’t last long in the music industry.
“In this industry, if they can’t take the comments that the judges are giving them, then they won’t be prepared for this world,” she said.
“This world is a lot more intense and the comments can be a lot worse.”
Rihanna, 21, recently admitted that she felt humiliated when naked photos, which she had originally sent to an ex-boyfriend, ended up on the internet.
“If you don’t send your boyfriend naked pictures, then I feel bad for him,” the star told US radio station Hot 97.
“I just felt like my whole privacy was taken before that and then, when that came out, I thought, ‘oh great, so now there’s nothing they don’t know about me and my private life’.
“It was humiliating and it was embarrassing — especially my mum having to see that. It was two days before Mother’s Day, so I was nervous.
“I sent her flowers first before I called and then she texted me — when the world is against me she’s always there supporting.
“If it’s wrong, she will still let me know but she wouldn’t come down on me like, ‘oh my God, what were you thinking?’”
