Roman Polanski’s Chalet Prepared For House Arrest

Roman PolanskiROMAN Polanski‘s Alpine chalet has been prepared by security experts for the director’s house arrest while Swiss authorities consider whether to extradite him to the United States.

Polanski — director of a host of critically-acclaimed movies, including 1968′s Rosemary’s Baby and Chinatown, released in 1974 — reached a bail agreement with Swiss authorities earlier this week.

The Hollywood veteran faces being extradited to America after fleeing to Europe in 1978 when he was convicted of unlawful sex with a minor.

Judges in Geneva were reportedly swayed in granting Polanski’s bail offer — which was $4.5m — because of Polanski’s family circumstances.

Polanski’s lawyer Herve Temime said his wife and two children are “very upset psychologically by this separation that is a true heartbreak for them”.

One of the conditions of Polanski’s house arrest is that he is to wear an electronic bracelet that would detect if he tries to leave the home.

    he should get the praise he deserved for his works, and the punishment he deserved for his sins.
