ASHLEE SIMPSON BLASTS ‘STRAINED’ MARRIAGE CLAIMS

ASHLEE Simpson-Wentz has shot down claims her marriage is on the rocks.
American tabloid the National Enquirer claimed Ashlee and her husband, Fall Out Boy rocker Pete Wentz, had come to blows over the actress’ lavish spending habits and that their relationship had become “strained”.
But a rep for the couple insists the report is a “piece of fabrication”.
“They just celebrated their son’s first birthday together,” the spokesperson said.
Ashlee, 25, recently revealed that she played hard to get with Pete when he first asked her out on a date.
“He worked hard to get me, let me tell you,” Ashlee said. “But I’m glad he did… He’s my best friend in the world and he’s an amazing dad.”
The couple — who married on May 17, 2008 — welcomed their first child together, son Bronx Mowgli Wentz, in November last year.
