Claire Danes: ‘I’m Doing my Bit to Save The World’
CLAIRE Danes is doing her bit to save the planet.
The Hollywood beauty — who recently married fiance Hugh Dancy — says she’s been taking environmental tips from her pal and former costar Leonardo DiCaprio and has been reducing her carbon footprint.
“I recycle, and because I live in New York, I don’t even have a car,” Danes said. “That’s the best I can do so far. But it is important we all do our bit.”
Danes, 30, has previously revealed that she finds being famous “irritating” and that she is fed up with having her life “invaded” by the paparazzi.
“My life is completely invaded,” she said in October 2007. “Almost every day now in New York I’m followed by photographers — and I’m not even that famous!
“I’m in enough films so that people recognize me but I’m hardly a huge star, I find the whole fame thing irritating.”
