Katy Perry Fears ‘Buzz Twittering’
KATY Perry’s pals confiscate her mobile phone when she’s had too much to drink — in case the singer posts drunken ramblings on Twitter!
The I Kissed a Girl hitmaker — who’s currently dating British comic Russell Brand — says her friends always make she isn’t able to post something she might regret on the popular social-networking site.
“I’m obsessed with Twitter,” Perry said. “Sometimes, whenever I go out — not when I’m on tour but when I’m at home and I’m out and I’m celebrating — if I have a couple of drinks my friends will take away my phone in fear of me buzz Twittering because you never know what I might say. And I’m glad they do it too.”
Katy, 25, recently insisted she never meant for her songs to be scandalous.
“I think the I Kissed A Girls and the Ur So Gays were never, ‘Oh, let’s see how I can stir up a pot of scandalous’,” she said last month. “It was actually just me telling my story and that is how I see the world, you know, and that’s the kind of funny, messed-up way I live my life, I guess.
“With a dark undertone, a sarcastic dark undertone, just everything is kind of that way for me and so I’m sure that’ll be a thread in my next record.”
