Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal — Oceans Apart!
REESE Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal are now an ocean apart.
The Legally Blonde star, 33, has arrived in London where she’ll address the House of Commons on Wednesday for the domestic violence charity initiative Refuge in partnership with Avon, which the actress represents.
Meanwhile, Gyllenhaal, 28, is busing shooting his new movie, Love and Other Drugs, in Pittsburgh.
People magazine reported this past Sunday that Reese and Jake had called time on their longtime romance.
Witherspoon was said to have told close friends around Thanksgiving that she and the Brokeback Mountain star had broken up.
However, their respective publicists were quick to deny the breakup claims — insisting Reese and Jake “have not split.”
Jake’s assistant was reportedly seen visiting Reese’s home at 19:00 on Sunday, and she stayed for about 15 minutes before stepping out with two pieces of luggage.

Let’s see- assistant steps out of house on Sunday w/ two pieces of luggage- Reese arrived in London somewhere on or about Tuesday, so I’m thinking surely she could make it to London in two days in this day and age- unless of course she sailed over there. Doesn’t matter whose assistant it was hauling luggage, especially if the two pieces of luggage could not be identified as belonging to a particular party. Sounds like rumors of a split are BS- and even if not, so what ? people break up every day in this country .
