Beyonce to ‘Go Outside of The Box’ With Next Album
SINGER Beyonce says she’s planning to “go outside the box” with her next album.
The singer — whose 2008 album, I Am … Sasha Fierce, has sold 2.5 million copies in the United States — is planning to release another record in 2010.
And Knowles says the LP could take a more indie direction after her sister Solange introduced her to several different types of artists.
“There’s so many people I’d like to work with still, but I’d like to maybe go outside of the box,” she said.
“My sister has put me on to bands like Of Montreal and some other different types of artists. I would love to do something like that on my next album.”
The former Destiny’s Child star — who’s married to rapper Jay-Z recently admitted her success has come at a price.
“I just sacrificed life,” she said. “Being able to walk down the street and being able to make mistakes and not have it recorded for ever.
“Being able to have regular relationships and dates. Just regular, normal things that people probably don’t even think about. Sometimes it’s hard.
“I haven’t had longer than a couple of months off ever in my life, since I was 15.
“But I was raised that anything that’s worth anything takes a lot of sacrifice. And when anything is too easy for me I get scared.”
