KATE Hudson says filming her new movie Nine made her feel like a little girl again.

The actress, 30, says being surrounded by sequins and designer dresses for the flick — which also stars Penelope Cruz and Fergie from the Black Eyed Peas — took her back to her childhood.

“I’m a huge clothes fanatic,” said Hudson. “When I was growing up, I’d watch Bob Mackie make my mom these phenomenal costumes for my mom. There were dresses, gowns, couture, and beads everywhere.

“And as a little girl, your eyes are sparkling. Like ‘Wow, this is amazing, amazing to look at.’ And then, as I started to become a woman, and the way clothes and fashion and costuming changed in my generation, working with the costume designer Colleen Atwood was like a throwback to me being a little girl. Like with these beads, and real hooks and eyes. The real deal, you know?”
