KATE Hudson insists she’d NEVER fight over a guy!

The Bride Wars star — who’s dating Madonna‘s ex-beau Alex ‘A-Rod’ Rodriguez of the New York Yankees — says she prefers to discuss problems over lunch than get into a row about them.

“I can’t imagine fighting over a guy,” said Kate — who is divorced from, and has a child, with Black Crowes rocker Chris Robinson. “I’d rather hang with the ladies! I’d rather be like, ‘Okay, whatever! So do you guys want to go to lunch?’ That would be me.”

Kate, 30, recently revealed that says being surrounded by sequins and designer dresses while filming her upcoming musical movie Nine took her back to her childhood.

“I’m a huge clothes fanatic,” she said. “When I was growing up, I’d watch Bob Mackie make my mom these phenomenal costumes for my mom. There were dresses, gowns, couture, and beads everywhere.

“And as a little girl, your eyes are sparkling. Like ‘Wow, this is amazing, amazing to look at.’ And then, as I started to become a woman, and the way clothes and fashion and costuming changed in my generation, working with the costume designer Colleen Atwood was like a throwback to me being a little girl. Like with these beads, and real hooks and eyes. The real deal, you know?”
