The Brokeback Mountain star says the inking — which is on his back — pays tribute to his favorite football team, the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Jake told chat show host Jimmy Kimmel how he became a Steelers fan while filming his latest movie in Pittsburgh and got the tattoo after going to a Steelers game.

“I don’t really remember much that happened after that game but I woke up the next morning and I had this thing,” he said. “So now I’m a Steelers fan through and through.”

Jake teased female fans in the studio audience by jokingly pretending to unbutton his trousers and laughing: “By the way, speaking of what else I got….I’m just kidding. I can’t — it would devastate you.”

It was recently claimed Jake had split from girlfriend Reese Witherspoon.

    I doubt if that is a real tattoo. I think he had it drawn on for his appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel”. Jake is a serious actor and has to show his body in many movies, and I seriously doubt that he would desecrate his skin in that way since it would have to be covered up for each movie role. I personally think Jake is too professional for that (I hope I’m not wrong!).
