John Mayer: ‘Robert Pattinson is Boring’

John MayerJOHN Mayer clearly isn’t a fan of Robert Pattinson!

The No Such Thing hitmaker thinks TV host Barbara Walters should do a “10 Least Intriguing People” special that includes the hunky British Twilight star.

“I wish Barbara Walters would do a ’10 Least Intriguing People’ special,” Mayer wrote on his Twitter page Wednesday.

“I would love to watch her interview Robert Pattinson’s stand-in.

“What does it feel like to have the same overall proportions and features of a man who has had such a meteoric rise to success?”

Mayer — who has previously romanced Jennifer Aniston, Jessica Simpson and Jennifer Love Hewitt — recently insisted he doesn’t date famous women to garner headlines for himself.

“You just never know who’s going to come into your life,” the singer told Details magazine.

“To my mind, the only thing sicker than saying, ‘Wow, you’re a famous person and it would do a lot for my career to go out with you,’ is to say, ‘Wow, you’re a famous person and I like you and all, but I can’t do that to my career.’ I don’t think either of those is a good option.

“At the end of the day, all I owe the world in exchange for my dumb face being in their lives are 10 songs every couple years that are hopefully of greater magnitude than somebody’s story about me… you’ll walk away from the record liking me a hell of a lot more than you would walking away from an interview.”

    Okay, this is the stupidest article I’ve read in a while. In both cases you’ve twisted John Mayer’s words…
    I saw that tweet when he posted it this morning and he wasn’t saying Robert Pattinson, HIMSELF, wasn’t intriguing… he was saying that about his STAND-IN. If you stop analyzing it for two seconds, it’s actually pretty funny. And I’m sure that was John Mayer’s intention… it was a JOKE. He is always making JOKES. Oh, and don’t get me wrong, I am a huge, HUGE fan of Rob–and John–so I’m definitely not just being biased against him.
    Also, it seems to me you’ve misinterpreted his words about not dating famous women. He didn’t mean he doesn’t date famous women AT ALL in order to protect his career … As you pointed out, he has dated famous women, so that would be an obvious lie. I’m sure what he meant was that even if he was to date a famous woman, the REASON behind it isn’t just so he can make headlines.
    I may be wrong about all this, and you may be right… We’ll never know unless John explains what he really meant when he tweeted and said those things… and he probably never will, because–good for him–he doesn’t waste time worrying about what everybody thinks about him and reading CRAP like these articles.
